The gifts of Christ 基督的恩赐

Christ came into the world to save us from our sins. Christ didn’t come to teach Faith Alone (Sola Fide) or Scripture Alone (Sola Scriptura), Christ didn’t write the New Testament. But Christ established the new Davidic Kingdom on the Twelve Apostles. And on Peter, the Rock, whom he gave the keys of the kingdom of heaven (Matt 16:18-19).

There are many gifts that Christ gave us; let’s meditate on them so that we can grow in our spiritual life. The following is the list that can be found in the Gospel of St John.

  • The Holy Spirit (John 15:26) – The third Person of the Holy Trinity. Co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father and God the Son.

  • Baptism (John 3:5) – The first of the Sacrament of Initiation

  • Grace (John 1:16)

  • Eucharist (John 6:51) – Sacrament of the sacraments, most blessed Sacrament

  • Life (John 10:10)

  • One Church (John 10:16)

  • The name of Jesus (John 14:13)

  • Peace (John 14:27)

  • Joy (John 16:24)

  • Unity (John 17:21)

  • Love (John 17:26)

  • Mother Mary (John 19:27)

  • Sacrament of Reconciliation (John 20:23)

  • Papacy (John 21:15-17)

  • Ministry of the Church (John 14:12) – Healing, forgiveness of sins, etc.

Besides that, there are other things we should also meditate on: the Incarnation (John 1:14), the Crucifixion (John 3:14), and the Resurrection.

Hence, if someone is struggling with sins and wants to be free from sins, pray, meditate, and contemplate on the above, look for the healing from the Church, go for confession, receive Holy Communion, read the Scriptures, and also ask for the intercession of Mary (John 2:3).
Have faith, and sin no more (John 8:11).

基督来到世上是为了从罪恶中拯救我们。基督并非来教导唯独信德论 (Sola Fide) 或唯独圣经论 (Sola Scriptura)；基督并没有撰写新约圣经。但基督在十二宗徒身上建立了新的达味王国，并在伯多禄（即磐石）身上建立了教会，将天国钥匙交给了他 (玛 16:18-19)。

天主赐予我们许多恩赐；让我们默想这些恩赐，好使我们在神修上得以成长。以下是可以从若望福音中找到的恩赐清单：

  • 圣神 (若 15:26) – 天主圣三的第三位。与天主圣父和天主圣子同等、同体、同受钦崇。

  • 圣洗圣事 (若 3:5) – 基督徒入门圣事的第一件。

  • 恩宠 (若 1:16)

  • 圣体圣事 (若 6:51) – 圣事中的圣事，至圣圣事。

  • 生命 (若 10:10)

  • 唯一的教会 (若 10:16)

  • 耶稣之名 (若 14:13)

  • 平安 (若 14:27)

  • 喜乐 (若 16:24)

  • 合而為一 (若 17:22)

  • 爱 (若 17:26)

  • 圣母玛利亚 (若 19:27)

  • 和好圣事 (若 20:23)

  • 教宗制度 (若 21:15-17)

  • 教会的职务 (若 14:12) – 包括治愈、赦免罪过等。

除此之外，我们还应该默想其它的奥迹：圣言降生成人（the Incarnation） (若 1:14)、死于十字架上 (若 3:14) 和主的复活。

因此，如果有人在罪恶挣扎，并渴望从罪恶中获得自由，就祈祷、默想并默观以上所列，寻求教会的治愈，去告解，领受圣体，阅读圣经，并祈求圣母玛利亚的转祷 (若 2:3)。
要有信德，并且不要再犯罪了 (若 8:11)。
