Christian and atheism
What is the main difference between Christian and atheism? Other than theological perspective differences, there is a great different for how they view and act in their life.
Christians, who believe in God, have faith, hope, and love. Because of these, they can endure the suffering. And this seems foolish in the eyes of the atheists. For atheists, there is no future, no God, no justice, when they are oppressed, they are going to revenge. They are going to conquer and rule everything, so that they will not be oppressed.
Christians, who believe in God, will do something which cannot make sense. Just like Moses who brought Israelites out of Egypt, go to the Red Sea, which is no way to go further. In the eyes of the Egyptians, it is fool. That is why they come all the way to slaughter the Israelites. But what we know is that, even there is no way, they still be able to walk through the Red Sea, because this is the act of God, this is the miracle. Lord is accused and crucified, in the eyes of men, this is foolish, but in the eyes of Christians, this is the triumphant.
Men who do not believe in God, they do not believe miracles, they use their own measurements to evaluate every action. Some of them believe that when they do good, they will harvest the good fruits; when they do evil, they will harvest the bad fruits. But, giving up every possession and follow Christ, this seems not good and foolish. Only the Christians who have faith will believe in God and act according to God’s will, though the way is full of difficulties.
That is why, when Christians are persecuted and martyred, they will not renounce their faith, because they see the truth and they have hope of the price of eternal life.
